Papi Delbard

When Georges Delbard decided to create the rose that bears his name, he knew that it could only be a special variety of rose. But what does it really mean: a special variety of rose? Perhaps it denotes a color that no one has ever seen before? Or a fragrance that is incomparable to anything else? Or perhaps he was thinking of a very rare rose, the presence of which would adorn any garden? Papi Delbard carries a little of all of these.

A wonderful perfume with grapefruit and citrus notes, a dazzling color combination, a unique appearance. The color of the flowers, reminiscent of ripe apricots, is dark orange in the center, turning into a very warm yellow towards the edges. A richly flowering rose, which also produces large, 12 - 15 cm flowers. Its petals are so rich that its flowers easily bend forward from the weight, as if they want to express their respect to their caretaker. The rose is a repeat bloomer, adorns our garden from May until frost, resistant to diseases and pests.

He is the recipient of numerous awards, but his greatest recognition came in Baden-Baden, where he was awarded a gold medal in 1992 at one of the world's most important and prestigious competitions.
