We at Famous Roses love beautiful stories, just like all the roses we host. Eddy Mitchell is the rockiest specimen of all the roses from the Meilland Richardier horticultural family, if I may say so. It seems that Eddy Mitchell wanted a black rose, in memory of the time he spent in the band “Chaussettes Noires” (Black Socks). But the Meilland family went further and smuggled a yellow tint into the black, creating an absolutely original color combination that paints one side of the petals a velvety red, almost black, and the other side, golden yellow.
Eddy Mitchell is a perennial rose with strong foliage and dark green leaves, which is highly resistant to disease. The flower is 10 cm in diameter, consists of about 27 petals, and its final height can reach 60 - 80 cm.
As a cut flower, it is suitable for keeping in a vase and making bouquets. The cut flower retains its freshness for about 7 - 10 days.
